“NOIR” is a compelling detective thriller that reimagines the film noir genre with an intersectional lens, featuring Black actors in Old Hollywood genre archetypes typically assigned to white actors.

In April, I organised and hosted my first ever event! This wonderful (SOLD OUT might I add) night at Kunstraum London consisted of a screening of short films I've made or written, poetry performances from myself, Glow Lubangakene, Ruhani Khadijah and Dillon Kalyabe and some networking and the opportunity to purchase my new poetry book and individual prints.

The proceeds from the night went towards my new short film.

In April I was lucky enough for "NOIR" to be oficially selected as part of Open Television's first ever Table Read Club!

It was a very fun and warm experience with the opportunity to hear my script read aloud for the first time by professional actors and after received feedback from the industry professionals who attended.

In April, I was fortunate to be invited to take part in a Q&A at Video Effects in Brighton, a monthly night hosted by Jak Hutchcraft filled with informal chats about all things film and beyond. We discussed my journey into journalism, film, and poetry and my new film "NOIR". It was a pleasure!

In January, I had such a great time with Film Files Club talking on a panel with fellow filmmakers about what it really means to be an emerging filmmaker. Always a pleasure to have my film “gaze” included in fantastic film programmes!
